Outdoor Adventure Wales is an independant outdoor specialist based near Betws Y Coed, in the foothills of the Snowdonia National Park.

We are a small company dedicated to bringing you top quality days out at a reasonable price, with some of North Wales most experienced guides in a relaxed and professional manner.

Using some of the areas most exciting and scenic locations chosen to meet your groups aims, we guarantee you a day you will remember.

 Hello I'm Rob Murray the Owner of Outdoor Adventure Wales. I have been teaching, guiding,expeditioning and enjoying adventure activities in this country and abroad for nearly 20 years 

I am a Level 3 inland kayak instructor, I have also completed Level 3 Sea training,  I am an SPA holder.  Mountain bike and off road trail leader.  Advanced swiftwater rescue technician. RYA level 2 powerboat (coastal) and safety boat,  I am also a very experienced gorge and coasteering guide and spend a lot of time exploring underground.

  I have  been involved with several rescue teams over the years and was the first Chairman of IFRA, the Inland Flood Rescue Association, and until recently a member of The North Wales Cave Rescue Team. I was also a member of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service for several years, and have been involved in many rescues and incidents in this country and abroead.


 I work with a wide range of clientele from introducing young people to outdoor activities,working with young people in care in the outdoors. families, stag and hen parties and training rescue teams and military groups.

 My enthusiasm for the outdoors is still going strong and has been demonstrated in my setting up of the very successful Llanrwst Canoe Club, Rwsters Outdoor Activity Project and more recently playing a big part in the development of the North Wales Outdoor Activity Partnership. if im not working in the outdoors ill probably be playing in it somewhere in the hills, rivers,craig's or tunnels of North Wales!

Over the years I have materiel published on outdoor activities in The Rough Guide, Journels such as Ceufad,and newspapers such as the North Wales Weekly News and The Daily Post.
